KITANDA YANGU 4 by 6 my Interpretation!

What happens when your back is against the wall.

When you cannot run anymore.

When you run out of options.

When you have to explain to your Kids.
‘Toto vumilia ugali hii salary ingenunua nyama but nalipa taxes MP walipe entertainment allowances’ Painfully explain to your kids that paying taxes is the only reason you cannot afford a piece of meat in the butchery, taxes that hardly guarantee you services from the government.

When a young man have to prove to his in laws that he can take care of their daughter despite the not encouraging economic conditions
‘Sisemi atakula nyama kila siku but na promise tumbo yake haitalala bila kitu’

When you have to settle for less just to cover your dignity
‘chicken ama beef bora kushiba, suti ama jeans bora kufinika uchi’

When a young woman has to endure cold nights to earn for her kids
‘wengine wanavaa tight, wanavaa less ku advertise goods kwa dudes’

‘Bulb ikiwaka kwa kichwa utalipa KPLC kwa kila good idea nothing for free’
Your ideas do not hold weight you are young , you are a risk, you get manipulated, used despite your qualifications.

YOU GET THE POINT!

Many of us react differently to this but the most common effect among human beings is degrading ourselves to MONSTERS just to survive.

Kitanda yangu  4 by 6 portrays restrain, a guy find himself in an odd position hence the bed in a basement. Suddenly he gets chased by people who clearly have no good intentions.
The chase ensues but eventually the young man played by Juliani find himself in a place of no return, his back against the wall. The man is left with no choice but to release the monster within .

This is evident in our society when teachers, doctors have to protest and strike just to be heard.
When people have to kill, mob justice just because we have had unpleasant encounter with the judiciary.
When the human race have nothing to loose.http://youtu.be/T2RudCOBsrI

RINDASHIP ama LEADERSHIP

My Real names are Julius owino, i grew up in the then most dangerous slum Dandora or Dandara-depending on where you come from. My child hood was simple, education was my parents way of getting me out, Gangstas had the coolest shoes had the most beautiful chicks, MYSA football club was a right of passage.

Amidst all this i did not fit in, as in i didn't have guts to carry a gun, i was a bright chap but wasn't that good in biology BRAIN CELLS. until i met hip hop the art of words, exchange currency for my thoughts BRAIN SELLS.

Fast forward a couple of years later with hair growing in other parts of my body.
I realised music was my way out so i tirelessly work on my craft being inspired by my fav poet of all time KITU SEWER but sooner than later it came to my understanding It takes more than talent to get to my destiny, thank God i took some computer packages so i became busy doing research online and reading books on Music business.

Many awards later, traversing through the world, building my own and becoming successful, it has become a reality to me that it takes more than TALENT, BUSINESS ACUMEN all this don't make sense or cannot produce much if POLITICALLY thing are not in place. maybe later i will go in details of this implications.

Why do i say RINDASHIP Rinda is swahili for dress or skirt, our politics is filled with UMAMA out of respect.
It is all about who slept with who politically who is more this that. everybody is playing survival tactics nobody is talking on development and Growth.
But why should we blame the leadership yet they are a clothe from the fabric of society.

To all who are reading this unless we get involved and make things right all our efforts will never produces deserving results.
